The idea for From Campus to Career didn’t start as a career transition guide for graduates. It began as a seminar—a single workshop we planned to offer graduating students in Metro Manila. But as we developed the content and considered who we could reach, we realized we were thinking too small.
Inspiration from an Unexpected Source
Our inspiration for creating this career transition guide for graduates came from an unlikely place: the United States Air Force Transition Assistance Program. One of our authors is a US veteran who personally experienced this program during their transition from military to civilian life. They witnessed firsthand how this comprehensive program helps retiring and separating service members navigate one of life’s most significant transitions—leaving military service and entering civilian careers. The more we thought about it, the more we understood that our delivery method was constraining our impact. That’s when we made the pivot from seminar to e-book series.
